iPhone4: I was lost in a bar…

iPhone4: I was lost in a bar…

Well, it’s been announced, but most of us already knew about the iPhone before it was presented today. Steve Jobs took the stand at the WWDC to talk about the exciting thing that is called: “iPhone 4″. A truly marvel of marvels and as Steve would put it: “A Magical Device” (ok, this is for the iPad, but I’m sure he’ll say the same thing for the iPhone).

The iPhone 4 does look rather impressive. I must say that I was a bit tempted to buy it. However, the iPhone is not for me. I’ve had in my possession an iPhone 3G but I was bored of it rather quickly (about three weeks of having it). Nothing too fancy or too spectacular for me. I even thought the phone was way too big. However, this is just my opinion (before you go ranting about me being biased about the iPhone).

The new phone will feature a new 5MP Camera with 720 HD Recording capability! Also, a front facing camera to make WIFI ONLY video calls with other buddies that have an iPhone 4 and the long waited update for the iPhoneOS 4 (now called iOS 4). Another memorable mentions were the arrival for Netflix to the iPhone,  iBooks, and Guitar Hero.

Now, I can tell you how this might become troublesome for some iPhone users. With the new rule of limiting bandwidth to 2GB per month on the previous unlimited data plan (although $5 cheaper) this could cause some issues with the iPad, iPhone, etc. Reason being is that these were gadgets made for internet hogging! AT&T Mentioned that the this limit will not affect users because no one can use over 2GB of data with the smartphones that they have (This reporter seems to believe this does not count the iPhone Users). But let’s be fair here. There could be a possibility that someone could use over the 2GB limit on the data plan. Our society lives in the internet.   Now, I could be wrong, maybe 2GB is good enough for many.I’m not a genius at cell phones and smartphones, so I’ll leave it like that. People think that this will not happen… but let’s wait and see when the millions of users that buy an iPhone 4 download the new Netflix App or any other Bandwith hog app. Maybe those could reach the limit.

One thing that strike me though was Mashable.com. Mashable has been known for talking about the social media and whatnot, but people have noticed (including me) how biased they are when it comes to Apple Products. Now, I can’t say that right now I’m not biased, but at one point I wasn’t. Recent actions from Apple have made me lose some of the respect I had for them. However, this latest article was by far the worst representation of a comparison chart of the new iPhone vs the new HTC Evo 4G and the Droid Incredible. Is clearly shown that this is truly biased in order to get peopel to think that the iPhone is just the most awesomest phone ever!

I firmly believe that there is a phone for everyone. Some like the iPhone, some like the Evo, some like (suprisingly) the WinMo, other Nokias, and there are those who love their Blackberry.  But enough talk. After going through the specs of the new iPhone and writing this lengthy article, I came across something so funny by the people of take180 with a guest appereance with one of the funniest woman that I know (aside from Betty White) Jane Lynch! This video shows a parody of an advertisement for the new iPhone 4. Take a look.

So where do you stand in all this iPhone iOS/Android/WinMo/WebOS/BlackBerry/Symbian madness?

I got a question for Apple though. Are you going to make Jane Lynch apologize for this parody video like to did to Ellen? I’ll like to see you try. As some YouTube users put it: Jane Lynch is the woman version of Chuck Norris. You CANNOT Touch her.
