Sex and the City 2

Sex and the City 2

Alright, before you go and start questioning my manhood, let me tell you that I did this for the sake of journalism… Ok I saw it and enjoyed it. So what? big woop… wanna fight about it?

Anyways, since I’ve already seen this movie, I thought I would share some wisdom and my review on the movie.  To sum it up: “This is a comedy movie about 4 women who are rich, lucky, and horny.”

If you haven’t seen the series, then you won’t understand a lot of stuff. At least take someone that has seen the series with you (I was lost in the first movie asking a bunch of questions).

I’ll try to help you a little bit. From what I understand, the movie revolves around these 4 friends that has been together all the time. One of them is a writer, the other one is a lawyer, one is a horny publicist, and the other one — I think — is a housewife? (correct me if I’m wrong). In this movie the 4 friends miss spending time together, like they used to in the past, and the publicist gets a gig to spend a week at a hotel in Abu Dhabi. Once there, they get into a bunch of trouble, realize mistakes, go through hard times — yada yada yada — and then they go back.

However, I’ll give you my honest opinion. I frankly enjoyed it. It was a hilarious movie (especially that horny publicist! so funny…). What I did enjoyed the most was the cars that the women were riding in. The Maybach Laundalet. Such an amazing car. It was great and makes want to buy one (whenever I win the lottery). Another thing was the locations. Places in Abu Dhabi are really awesome. They do have a lot of rules because of the culture, but it was still a very impressive place and I would like to visit it one day.

However, I felt that this movie was trying to appeal more to guys. Reason, I think, is because they knew that a bunch of guys would have to take their girlfriends to see this movie. For example, in one part as the women are having lunch they start talking about a nanny that one of the women had taking care of her children. Then they switch to this slow moving camera focusing on the movement of the nanny’s boobs.

Would I recommend watching this movie? Ehh… Wait until it comes out in DVD/Blu-Ray. If you are a guy and your girlfriend wants to see this movie, go take her. Why? You get to watch a couple of cool stuff, plus think  about it; She will love you dearly for thinking of her once. You might even get lucky. Good Luck. And to the guys, do not worry. Watching this movie does not make you less of a man. Unless you are doubtful of yourself and feel that this movie will make you less of a man. I don’t feel less of a man. On the contrary, this movie gave me great ideas of things I can do once I get a girlfriend. :P

To end this… Here is a little something for you car lovers:

Let's try this again! *clears throat* Relative to the first installment, I didn't think this movie was as good. Entertaining yes, but it missed the most important character…New York City!!!

Ah Interesting. See I've never seen the series. I saw the both movies with a friend of mine that wanted to see them. I don't discriminate with movies if they look Interesting I'll watch them. However, now that I think about it. You're right. The first movie was all about New York and all the “glamour” that goes with it. In this one they tried to bring that to the middle east. May we see now a new movie/series called: “Sex and the Dessert!?”

kudos for you, I am a woman and was never a fan of this series and have not seen neither of the movies ad don't plan on it either. I have heard many people say its great and others say that it was disappointing based on the series…as if they are trying to take a successful series and dragging it on into movies and killing the once great show. IDK…. it depends on the person.
