Indeed! We’re not going to post just the bad things that celebrities do (except, you know those tend to be juicier! *wink*), but I also like to acknowledge those artists who come together for a good cause. The artists came together to record a PSA about for “Stand Up to Cancer”. Take a look:
As you can tell the commercial shows different artists in different, somewhat funny, situations as Dakota Fanning narrates the statistics of it. Example: “Odds of dating a super model: 1 in 88,000“. However, one of the most memorable lines is the sad truth about the statistic of cancer. One in two men and one in three women can get cancer in their lifetime. This is the reality we all face in our daily lives and we can help and stand up to cancer. By going to “ChangeTheOdds.StandUp2Cancer.org” you can join to the cause and be a change for everyone and even for you. Through joining, you will be helping accelerate the research on cancer to try and find a cure; lead your own fundraising team and everything you donate to the charity will go 100% towards the cause.
There will be a special on TV, that will air on September 10, 2010 at 8pm ET/PT. This special fundraiser will be broadcast simultaneously in 15 different stations live and commercial-free. Please tune in and help the cause! Is time to Stand up 2 Cancer.
