I was going over the tweets from my followers and the people that I follow and I noticed that they were all talking about the new Twitter. I decided to take a look what was the new Twitter and my first impression was: “Wao.. It looks like Facebook”.
However, I was wrong. I was directed to the new twitter promotional site and after watching the video, I was really impressed. Here are some of the features of the new Twitter.
1. New Web Interface
Say goodbye to that little narrow window that held your tweets, because now the new interface is actually wider with more room for other new features that will begin rolling out with the new Twitter. The interface will feature your regular stream, but your sidebar is now a dual panel that holds more information, including some new nifty features.
2. View Media from Twitter.
Do you remember when you had to click on a link to find out what was that picture your friend just posted? That thing became extinct with the release of other Twitter clients (such as: TweetDeck, Brizzly, etc). However, with the new Twitter, these links to YouTuve, Vimeo, Flickr, twitphoto, etc. will be available directly in your stream.
3. Related Content.
A tweet now holds too much information, the new Twitter will make it all accessible directly from your account.
4. Mini Profiles
Want to know if you should follow a person? (like me) The new Twitter will let you look at the profile without having to actually go the persons profile.
