The Mug Show, Celebrities, Video Games, Film, TV, Internet
A Special Thanks!

A Special Thanks!

Hey Everyone,

I figured instead of just doing a regular sip,  I would bring you this special sip for this Thanksgiving holiday. When I began to work the whole idea of The Mug Show it was just a simple thought to create a doorway to one of my goals in life, be on movies/tv shows (now you know why I always review tv shows and movies more than talking about celebrities). I remember coming up with the concept with my cousin at a nearby “Logans” while talking about our favorite shows. That idea has grown so much over the past year.

I’ve learned so much from running this blog and from all of what you all have commented on. I’ve even learned more from all your tweets and your replies to my senselessness. I am thankful that I’ve found regular readers and just even casual reads that I get from Google searches. Heck, I got really excited when one of my post was tweeted by a celebrity!!

I will admit, I’ve had my doubts about this site, I’ve been wondering if what I’m doing is enough? However, I’ve kept on going,  because is all a learning experience and I’ve began to make some good networking. Also, loving to debate and have conversations, I’ve learned from you and I hope that you have all learned a little bit from me. Seeing the comments coming in and those thoughtful replies and opinions make this site even greater. But most of all, I love how even though some may have a strong opinion, I haven’t seen (so far!) a huge flame war. Now, I feel strong about it and I know this site could get to be big.

The main goal of this site is to get everyone talking. Right now we only focus on getting people to express their opinions about celebrity situations, movies, TV shows, internet smack and video games. But I want it to be so much more. This site’s goal is more of a conversation. That’s why is called The Mug Show and the symbol is a mug. When we have conversations with a friend or acquittance, we are usually drinking out of a mug filled with our favorite coffee and even beer to some of you.

So, in this thanksgiving I wanted to say: “Thanks”. I want to thank most importantly God.  I think the Lord has given me the strength to not let go of my dreams and fight for them. Even when I go through tough times, there is something that I can learn from it and grow more as a person; for that, I’m thankful and grateful. I will also like to thank my friends. My friends have showed me so much support by telling their friends about my site and not complaining about me spamming my articles on Facebook :P

However, I want to thank… YOU. You, the reader, who takes time to read my articles (sorry for the grammar errors! working on getting better!)  and share your point. Whether is on a Facebook comment, Twitter, or even here. Thank you for sharing my articles with your friends. You’ve made all of this be a success and a very entertaining and amazing learning experience. You are all awesome and I am very grateful for all your support.

Now it’s time to work. I’ve been going through a lot of planning process for the future of this site. I don’t want this site just for us to share our opinions. I want you all to share your knowledge. Share your experiences. I know you might say: Well there’s Facebook for that. But this goes beyond that. bring  a topic, let’s get a debate going on and hopefully we could all learn something from it. Maybe you have a dream too. Maybe when this site continues to grow (as it is right now) could help you get started on that path to reach your dream. I’m working for my dreams and I know that I will achieve them, because there is nothing to fear. When I get a bad experience is a good lesson learned. When I get a good experience is a blessing from the sky. Failure only comes when you stop trying. With all the support I’ve received and all the things that I’ve learned, I’ve grown stronger and determined to finish and reach my goals. I know you can too.

I always love listening to music, I even love when the music is inspirational. Usually we get songs that are entertaining on beats, but sometimes they forget about what you can do with your music gift to the world. I listen to the radio a lot and I’ve heard my good share of bad and good music. I love hearing a song that is inspirational, especially to those who are afraid of showing who you really are. Which brings me to Katy Perry. I recently heard her latest single: “Firework” and there was something about it that I just couldn’t shake it up.  I looked it up and saw the video and listened closely to the lyrics. I was really impressed. To hear such inspiring lyrics about just being who you are. That makes YOU an individual and not a part of a type. It doesn’t matter what others think of you, words can only hurt if you listen to them. Whoever is trying to hurt you is because they can’t be like you. Don’t give them the satisfaction of hurting you. I tell you, I was pretty much bullied for being a nerd my whole life. I was pushed around and ridiculed for everything I did. I was going through tough times, but one thing that I learned after being bullied was to not give them the satisfaction. When the next joke or insult was thrown, I ignored it and never loose sight of who I was. I am proud of who I am:A nerd with big dreams. I want to have a wife someday, I want to get kids to share my stories with someday. But all when the time comes. Having the new attitude and creating these “fireworks” made me stronger to not let anyone stop me. The bullying started to go down to such a low level that those who were bullying me couldn’t find the entertainment they were looking for and instead got frustrated to not be able to make me mad or sad. The bullying didn’t stopped, but me being proud of who I am made it seem non-existent. Be proud of who you are and don’t let anyone stop you from doing so.

Here’s the video of Katy Perry’s Firework:

Now…what are YOU thankful for?
