The game looks amazing and from the videos released of game-play it shows that it will deliver.

After 12 long years we’re going to be able to experience it (unless you were part of the beta program, then I envy you!!). On July 27 the first installment of the new Starcraft 2 Series, Wings of Liberty, will be released. However, there hasn’t been many talks about the next two expansion packs for this game coming afterwards. Here is a quick trailer and game preview of the new Starcraft 2. Enjoy!

Is this a Movie? Are we going to be able see it happen? If you don’t know what I’m talking about then clearly you haven’t read the title. Today, Kotaku released an article with what can be either a trailer for a game or a — rather long — trailer of a movie. A movie/game called: “Mortal Kombat”.

I was sent this article by a good reliable source and after reading and doing some research on this, I’ve grown want MORE! Sometime ago Warner Bros. announced that they were working on a remake for the Mortal Kombat Movies, but it was put on hold due to some legal issues.

With the release of the seven minute trailer many started speculating whether this is the work of a gruesome and dark movie or an extended real live action trailer for an upcoming game. With E3 only few days away and the “sudden” appearance of Mortak Kombat (2013) on IMDB, we will have to keep on wondering.

I just got to say that the trailer was AWESOME and I would LOVE for this to be a movie. The only critique that I give this trailer was “Jax’s” acting, because he didn’t felt real enough. However, every other character that made an appearance in the trailer did a tremendous job and just makes you want MORE!

Now is time… FINISH HIM!

Here is the seven minute trailer:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmvxjnwbMPI

So, after watching this glorious trailer…What do you think? Is this the trailer of a game? Or is this a trailer for a movie? I hope is for a movie!!

What do you get when you combine Disney with Final Fantasy… Kingdom Hearts. Its been 8 years since the first one graced our consoles with its presence. Those who played any of the series, have mostly enjoyed the experience. Its a great story with a nice blending of characters, worlds, and music. There’s been a sequel, a number of handheld versions, and some “remixes.” The Latest of the series is Birth By Sleep, and I happened to get my hands on the recently released Japanese version. I’ve spent a total of 5 hours playing it over the past couple of days, and this one does not disappoint. In my opinion, this one puts all the others in the series to shame. The graphics are great, especially for the PSP, looks just like the PS2. Even the CG cut scenes are amazing, but hey its Square Enix where talking about here so I wouldn’t expect anything less. The music was great, its got the soundtracks to some of you’re favorite Disney films, as do the other games in the series. Unfortunately, story wise, I don’t speak Japanese so I didn’t know what was going. Even in game, very few things were in English, so it was trial by error when I played it. Nonetheless Birth By Sleep brings a lot to the table when it comes to game-play.

So, Let’s take a look at the mechanics of the game. There are 3 different characters you get to play as: Terra, Aqua, and Ventus. After a brief tutorial, you can select from either to begin the game; I chose Terra. In this game not only do the characters level up, but just about every other aspect as well like attacks and magic. One of the new battle features is a “combo meter” that when filled up, under certain conditions, can lead to a variety of attacks. When in a heated battle, you do have your standard keyblade combo attacks of course. If you were to fill up the meter with your standard attack, you will have the chance to use a finish move. More so a powerful keyblade attack than a finish. You start with one finish but as you complete certain requirements you’re finisher will level up and branch out to other finish moves, and those will continue to branch as well. Besides the standard attacks, you have secondary keyblade attacks. Anything from a dashing slash to a hurl of the keyblade. Fill up the combo meter with certain secondary attacks and you unleash a sort of “Super” mode. There are various super modes obtained by filling the combo meter in different ways. In these Super modes your attacks are more devastating as well as your “super specific” finishers. Then there’s your magic attacks, fire, blizzard, thunder, etc. Fill the combo meter with certain magic attacks and you’ll get the corresponding elemental super mode. Fire attacks give you a fire-like super, your keyblade attacks are endowed with fire, and so on with the resulting element. There are numerous ways of approaching a fight, it all depends on how you play. By the way, there’s no magic meter so all secondary and magic attacks are time based, they can be re-used after a few seconds. All your secondary and magic attacks level up as you fight, max out these attacks and you can use them for synthesis.

Synthesis, if you don’t know, its combining different elements together to make another. In which case you can create all sorts of new attacks. Sometimes the new attacks come with ability attributes. like combo increase. These abilities can only be used when the attack is equipped, but once the attack hits max level the ability is free to use. You can combine different keyblade attacks to create a more powerful one. For instance, I created a one hit kill move, kills most enemies and does massive damage to bosses, if i can land it in time. Synthesis is also how you create the higher forms of the magic attacks. 2 fires equal fira, 2 firas equal firaga, and so on for the other elements. You can also combine keyblade attacks with magic to create elemental keyblade attacks, the combinations are almost endless. Enemies occasionally drop attacks and magic so you’ll be spending time leveling up attacks just to synthesize them.

Other than keyblade attacks, you have what are called “Focus” moves and “D-Links.” The Focus moves are lock-on attacks where you can lock-on to a number of enemies and attack them all at once. Focus moves are great for tight situations. Each of these moves can also level up. The D-Links allow you to link up with other story characters you’ve encountered to use their moves, kinda like the Super modes, only character specific rather than elemental. The D-Links level up, not through experience, but rather by acquiring certain items enemies drop while in that mode. This is why I say the game-play of Birth By Sleep puts the others to shame. Look at what all the original keyblade masters could do, what happened to the new generation of keyblade wielders, man they suck.

Besides the story, there’s more to do that’ll keep you interested. There’s an Arena mode which you can play online or offline with various things to do. There’s some trials you can endure solo or with friends, fighting through a few rounds of enemies or a boss. The trials are kind of like the Coliseum in previous games. There’s a board game mode you can play, a bit like a dumbed down version of Mario Party. You can take on your friends in vs. mode or challenge them to a race to see who the fastest keyblade rider is. There’s different ways to fight and a lot of modes to keep you entertained. I’ve only played 5 hours of this game and I already love it, a definite buy for me. The American version of Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep is set to be released September 7, 2010.

Wait what? A review? on a Game that hasn’t come out yet to the US? Yep! You read it right. The author of this story wanted to remain anonymous. He wrote this story exclusively for The Mug Show! Agent 00Gamer *tuh tuhn pah!*.

Yes! You saw it here at the 3 millionth website to announce it: “Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep”. Not to be confused for Kingdom Hearts 3 because this is not that game. This game will be released September 7, 2010 for the PSP Console for USA.

I have to say that I was a bit disappointed with the news. After I read about it on Yahoo Games, I through that this would finally bring the 3rd installment of Kingdom Hearts to the PS3! But I was wrong. If you’ve played Kingdom Hearts 2 you know about this special ending that shows the title: “Birth By Sleep” shows 3 mysterious characters (the have names: “Terra, Aqua, and Ventus”). Which they closely resembled a couple of characters in past games (Ventus looks just like Roxas)

The reason why this is not Kingdom Hearts 3 because this game is actually a prequel. This game is set way before Sora received the Keyblade. You can read the whole story here. Now, I tstill think this may be a cool game since the story seems very interesting. Disney Characters will be back, but I’ve been impressed by the way these characters were implemented.

As a Kingdom Hearts fan, I’ll be sure to learn more about this game and keep hoping that soon enough we get to know about Kingdom Hearts 3.

What do you think? Are you looking forward for this game? Where you expecting something different? Watch the trailer and tell me what you think.

Just in case you haven’t here it is! Today, Activision released a teaser trailer about the next game of Call of Duty — Black Ops --. Now, although I don’t own any of the Call of Duty games, it is quite interesting to see this new game. I have had the pleasure of playing all of the Call of Duties and the last one (Modern Warfare 2) was really intense and is no wonder how it got so many sales. However, there is something about this one that keeps me waiting and wondering about this game.

Many have speculated about the new whereabouts of the game and whatnot — ie. the game is going to be about the war in Vietnam --. Those speculator may be right about this one. From the trailer there are a couple of scenes that are in a jungle, but with the jumping and the flashing it was a bit hard to guess where could it be. Also it seems that this game is based on the past (hence why is believed is about the Vietnam war) because the trailer only shows flashbacks of a soldier.

The game is set to be released: November 9, 2010. Let’s take a look at the trailer:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgqUSrEaFvE

Pretty cool huh? Well if that doesn’t tickle you, maybe you would like to know that even though Nicolas Cage doesn’t have a lot of money he still bought a Pyramid? Umm… Ok Yeah they don’t go together, but is ok. What do you think? Are you excited for this game? Why would Nicolas Cage wanna buy a Pyramid in a cemetery?? Kind of creepy if you ask me.

Well you knew this was coming. This is what I call the reflection of good Marketing. Ever since the movie Avatar came out and created all the hype about 3D, there’s been a “Renaissance” of 3D that we’ve started seeing how now our current technology will have 3D incorporated in it. For example: PS3 users will have the opportunity (by using special glasses) in the future to play their games in full 3D. Also Television Companies are going to start selling out 3D TV’s, Channels are going to start broadcasting in 3D. However, all of these require you to have special glasses to see the 3D.

What makes the New Nintendo DS so special? Simple, it doesn’t require 3D Glasses. The way that this new Nintendo DS will work is through face recognition. The camera on the DS will act as your 3D Glasses and it will move around the picture as you move the DS around. You can see it all in the video posted. Right now, there isn’t a date on when this new Nintendo DS (or 3DS) will be released. However, we will get more information about it at E3 convention this year.

Simply amazing right? This could be a great step to incorporate 3D into other things. We have to remember that this is only the beginning. Who knows what will they come up next?

What do you think? Is this a breakthrough? Does this make you want to buy Nintendo’s new System?

I think this is a pretty funny commercial for the upcoming Motion Controllers of the PS3. The Playstation Move. The commercial goes towards criticizing the motion sensor of the Wii and the lack of control from Project Natal.

However, when you think about it, the Playstation Move is nothing more than a Wii Controller and the Project Natal combined together. Because you are using your “eye toy” camera with those controllers with the pretty lights on top to do all your motion for the video games. But either way, this looks promising. Maybe is something worth buying. However, I do think that Project Natal looks very intuitive… We’ll have to wait and see.

So… yeah.. what do you think of the Playstation Move? Or are you a Wii Fan / Project Natal Fan?

HA! Gotcha, you little perv. Well, keep looking because you ain’t going to find one here. However, this is related to the new game: “Dead or Alive Paradise”. If you have played Dead or Alive before, you should know that is a huge fighting games where a hit is like a gunshot and the girls boobs are jumping all over the place. Yes it is that intense!

Anyways, instead of this game being a fighting game, this will be a “SIM” game (simulator) where you will relax on the beach and look at other beauties and play some mini games as you go around this island. However, what I think is most interesting is to hear some of the people’s comments like this being the next big thing for the PSP. However, I can certainly say that this will not be the case. Is just a game to look at Computer Generated Girls and that’s pretty much it.

One other thing that made me laugh was the trailer:

Wao. If someone buys this game is because TRULY they do not have a life, or don’t think they are good enough to get a real girl, so they want a computer girl. What do you think of this game?

No longer will you be in the battlefield; instead, you will play directly on an office building in which you can get fired and make a lawsuit against a coworker or boss. You start out as a janitor, but you quickly work you way up (legally or illegally) to the executive position. However, would that be something you play?

It seems to me the creators of Call of Duty, Jason West and Vince Zampella, are on this game right now. According to Yahoo! Games, the creators of Call of Duty — fired for alleged insubordination — filed a lawsuit against Activision and accused the gaming company for “astonishing arrogance and unbridled greed”. Damn, those are some strong words. However, it didn’t stopped there they continued by claiming that they were fired so that Activision wouldn’t have to pay royalties to the creators of the game. Jason and Vince are seeking $36 million in damages plus restoration of rights over Call of Duty.

You can read the entire article at Yahoo Games, but that is the sum of it. Pretty Intense, right? Another corporate blunder. I think if they are the creators of this massive game that was by far the highest grossing game last year and I think they did a pretty good job, so they should get that money and the rights over it. However, in the corporate world, you sign your life to the company, so they need to make sure they didn’t sign off the rights to the game.If they did, then is going to be an uphill battle to win this case. However, like every story, there are two sides for the matter. Are the actions of Activision justified? What do you think? Which side are you on?

The game has a more closed gameplay atmosphere. In a description by Game Informer, the gameplay is reminiscent of BioShock. Gameplay places just as much focus on Batman’s role as a detective as on his combat prowess. Most of the game is played from Batman’s perspective through an over-the-shoulder, third person perspective, similar to that of Resident Evil 4 and Dead Space. It has been revealed that in the PlayStation 3 version of the game, you can play as the Joker in 8 exclusive challenge maps. (Long Post… please click )

Arkham was chosen as a location because of its limitations including the fact that it’s located on an island. Arkham will be a persistent location that the player is able to freely roam, including an area that serves as Batman’s secret on-site Bat Cave. Arkham will make use of Batman’s many gadgets to accomplish tasks and take down foes, such as using the grapple gun to get a better perspective on a particular area.

Some boss battles are focused on combat while others will focus on gadgets. Combat description features Batman perched on a high ledge in a wide open room as some of the Joker’s thugs rifle through drawers. Batman switches to investigation mode using a blue tinted visor that among other things lets Batman see his enemies through walls and identifies things like guns and knives. One thug is carrying a machine gun, so Batman jumps off the ledge, spreads his cape, and stuns him. He then swipes his cape to stun his other enemies and engages them in combat. FreeFlow Combat is accomplished using only three buttons: Attack, Stun and Takedown.

During battle, a combo multiplier at the top of the screen will increase with every strike. Once the combo expires, a colony of bats will swirl around Batman and then contribute to an experience bar on the left side of the screen. In an RPG-like skill tree system players will be able to distribute points where they prefer. Gadgets are revealed by collecting items in secret rooms, and they can be upgraded using accumulated experience points to access new areas. The player will need gadgets to survive against certain enemies. There are sections that involve stealth, although the developers state that they prefer to call them “Predatory” gameplay sections, as stealth tends to imply weakness. Batman can create distractions with bodies and victims’ yells, and then stalk the guards as they go to inspect. The combat experience is heightened using realistic physics.

Investigative mode is the centerpiece in Batman’s arsenal. While in detective mode, the visors in the cowl will be engaged. The visor can highlight points of interest and scan items into Batman’s database, similar to the Scan Visor found in Nintendo’s Metroid Prime trilogy. Other gadgets include a pheromone tracker, a fingerprint scanner, and an x-ray vision mode. Additionally, the detective gadgets will be able to identify riddles scattered throughout each level of Arkham, which unlock Challenge Maps and other upgrades after a certain set of them are solved.

Oh, and one more fun fact: Mark Hammill will be reprising his award winning role as the voice of the Joker.

YES!No, it isn’t simple, Joker. Especially at the end of the month, with the release of Batman: Arkham Asylum.
