I ussually like to rant about things that happen on Hollywood, TV, Film, or just life in general, however, I’m going to show you a side of me that is a bit nicer and I found it last night when I watched CONAN.

Yes! Last night TBS premiered the first episode of “CONAN”. It started with a bang! The new late night show premiered by showing us an overly exaggerated dramatic action skit of the events that occurred previously to Conan being hired on TBS. All I can say is that it was hilarious. It showed that our beloved TV Host from the short-lived Tonight Show and Late Night with Conan O’Brien was still fresh and ready for more. (especially with such a juicy story!). The new show started yesterday and will air every night at 11pm on TBS.

There is one thing that worries me though, how long will the drama between Conan and NBC will last? I’m sure he doesn’t want his show to be popular because of what occurred. What do you think? Just when I thought the TV world couldn’t get any stupider… I see a commercial for an upcoming reality TV show, that almost made me hurl. I’m talking about “Momma Bear” the Reality TV show for Sarah Palin. Of course, that is not the name of the show that TLC will air soon, but I think its much better than “Sarah’s Alaska”.

This new reality TV show will go “behind the scenes” of Sarah Palins life and prove to the world that all she wants is attention. Well Sarah! Here it is!! You got the attention you wanted. This show gave me so much pain stomach and headaches that I had to write about it here.

What will she discuss here? Her plans for 2012? Will she run for President? Does she knows what a President is? Does she know that she won’t be able to see Russia from Washington? Does she still Russia from her house? So many questions.. I don’t want any of them answered.

We all have come to know who Dora the Explorer is. This adventurous little girl travels different and crazy lands with a talking backpack, monkey, and map to find and solve mysteries for little kiddies everywhere. In that same process she teaches younger audiences some Spanish. However, is the new chapter for this little explorer…the courtroom?

It sure seems that way if the current lawsuit against Nickelodeon doesn’t get settled out of court. Caitlin Sanchez, the 14 year old who voices Dora, and her lawyer have brought a lawsuit against Nickelodeon alleging that the Viacom company have cheated her out of “millions” of dollars from the show. Caitlin’s lawyer says that Nickelodeon and her agent, allegedly, pressured her to sign a contract that was “convoluted and inscrutable” and left her out of millions, if not tens of millions of dollars, that she rightfully deserve. The pre-teen star was getting paid $5,115 per episode (however, apparently there was no compensation for the hundreds of hours spent to record an episode.) and while she was promoting the show, she was only given a meager $40 per day travel stipend.

H0wever, who do we believe in this story? Dora is the biggest thing for little kids out there and has generated billions of dollars in revenue towards Nickelodeon. Nickelodeon is not known for treating their child stars badly; on the contrary, Miranda Crossgrove (Carly Shay from iCarly) is the second highest teenager paid in the US by making $180,000 per episode (right after Angus T. Jones from “Two and Half Men”, who makes $250,000 an episode) (source).– By the way if you were wondering, Miley Cyrus makes $15,000 an episode (but don’t forget this doesn’t count tours, music, etc). –

So, why would a network risk so much by wrongfully paying one of its stars? Is Caitlin lying? Is Nickelodeon a cheap ******? I don’t know who to believe… could go either way, only time will tell. While we wait, why don’t we watch some “Incepción!”?

If it isn’t, it should be. Fox has announced (and confirmed everyone’s suspicion) the new judges for American Idol Season 10. The new judges will be: the return of Randy Jackson, Jeniffer Lopez, and Steven Tyler (front-man of Aerosmith). They will take on the role of the former judges: Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul. However, none of them admit that they will be “The New Simon Cowell”.

Tyler’s words were the only thing I liked about the new judges: “it’s being a part of something much bigger than yourself. … I want to bring some rock to this rollercoaster and show if you’ve got the heart, the talent, the feeling to do this you could be the next American Idol.” Maybe this time we’ll get other people that those trying to imitate Lady Gaga. Maybe some good Rock and Roll?! Death Metal? How about a METAL IDOL?! (That would be kind of cool) *ROAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRR!!!!!!!*

However, I doubt we would ever see that show being good again. Back in the day, when Kelly Clarkson won, was the only time American Idol was watchable.

Simon Cowell brought the funny to the show when he butchered everyone that would come up the stage, but after two seasons, it got old. I haven’t seen a season myself, but I know plenty of people that do. Judging from their reactions, this show became boring in Season 2.

The new show is scheduled for January of next year. What do you think will happen on the next American Idol? Do you believe this could should be the final season?

Alright, I just couldn’t sit here anymore and watch as America rots to hell watching this perverted show. I’m talking about Jersey Shore (if the title didn’t gave it away enough). This “reality” TV show just shows how nowadays you can go from being a tan-loving/selfish creep to a selfish/tan-loving/fist-pumping creep…with money.

I remember the good times when shows were actually scripted and people actually needed some kind of talent to be in those shows. I, of course, could be in any of those shows with my amazing talents; since we’re not talking about me, I’ll just leave it as that. However, it seems as the TV industry grows, more Reality TV shows are made and the more they are made, the more they don’t make sense. You may ask yourself, what are these shows? Well, let’s start by: “American Idol“, “The Hills“, “Some Failed Celebrity Married Some Other Celebrity and Divorced Five Minutes Later“, “I’m a Fudge Get Me Killed“, “Jersey Shore“, and “I Got so Many Kids I Stopped Counting” just to mention a few. The sad part is, that we (the audience) get so much involved in their personal lives that we want to be just like them! Finally, the problem is when we actually become just like them.

But what is it about these shows? Why would they make us lose some of our brain cells? Here are some scientifically proved reasons why watching Jersey Show (if you are acting like them, Godspeed.) makes you lose your brain cells or simply put, an idiot.

1. Fist-Pumping

I don’t know in what era “Fist-Pumping” was ever cool, but it seems to be having a huge comeback thanks to these clowns on TV. I mean, what is this “Fist-Pump”? Do you need to work-out every single minute of every day? So, instead of looking weird you decided to yell out loud: “This is Fist-Pumping! An awesome new dance move!” People believed you and soon they began fist-pumping too, because not only is a dance move, is also a great way to work out your biceps!! Give me a break. To be honest with you, the “Fist-Pumping” just makes you look like you are trying to punch someone, but can’t seem to know who.

2. The Obsessive Tanning

Alright, if you want to tan, that’s all fine, go knock yourself out in the sun and have a gay old time. However, when you do it excessively and you look orange, that’s when you draw the line. You may not know this (well you wouldn’t anyways), the orange color on the skin is actually your brain cells getting all confused that they don’t know what pigmentation they should show on your body to make you look like…well you and thus, the orange is born (I’m no scientist, but darn it! It makes sense!) . You’re burning your brain cells away by the excessive tanning (whether is with the spray, tanning bed, or the sun).

4. The  Pay

These people are getting paid $60,000 per episode. Seriously? Do they need to win so much money per episode? Just because some guy hit a girl on season one and some girl who thinks she is “snoopy” gets arrested? Seriously? I’m pretty sure they got to be using that money somehow.

What can we do about these shows? Well, we can start by switching the channel to a nice show like “The View” (ok, just kidding about that one, that is another show that’s got to GO!) or CSI, or some of that other garbage we receive everyday from those screens we call “Television Sets”. Yes, they are Television Sets, not “Picture Frames with them talking pictures”. However, until we stop watching, more of these shows will appear. Next thing we know there is an Emo Reality TV Show. Luckily that would only last one season, since by then all of the cast would have cut themselves already.

You knew this was coming, so don’t be acting like this is a surprise. What was a surprise (or maybe not), was this year’s VMAs as being one of the worst in history. Here is why…

Last night, unfortunately, aired the 2010 VMA’s. What a disaster of the show starting by: Chelsea Lately. I’m sorry, but she can’t host that show. She was not funny nor engaging. I’m glad I only watched bits and pieces from the show and didn’t had to suffer through the whole show. Yes people, it was that bad. The show only consisted of “funny” (not really) skits and a bunch of talk and smack of the famous encounter last year between Kanye West and Taylor Swift.

Now, there were some parts that were quite memorable (including the design and stage for the VMAs).  I’m going to take the liberty to put some of the memorable moments here, feel free to add more in your comments, in combination with thoughts of the show.

1. Taylor Swift Kanye blah!

What?!?!?! Too soft of a song. I was expecting something more crazy and probably cursing Kanye out. But if you listen closely, this song she is actually forgiving him for what he did. However, it seems some people got mad about this performance… Don’t understand why, because what Kanye did was 3 times horrible.

2. The Live Performances

What was that train of recklessness going on the stage? Are the artists currently popular can only rely in Auto-Tunes? Seriously. Every (if not all of them) should have been lip-synced. Most of these artists sound horrible on Live stage. Kanye, Eminem, Rihanna, Taylor, Usher had one thing in common either they sucked at live performance or they all had throat infections. The best singer was Cher and she didn’t even sing! There was one artist that did do a better job at singing live, Florence and the Machine (although I still don’t understand that song).

3. Cher!

Well, since I mentioned her before, I thought it was really weird seeing Cher once again on a TV. She presented the award for video of the year and showed the world how weirdness wins. She was weird and the winner of the award was even weirder! Lady Gaga with her Meat Suit on. (don’t forget about the meat purse!)

4. Meat Purse!

I have no idea what goes through Lady Gaga’s mind when she decides to wear these crazy outfits. Sure, it helps her image, but sometimes you can be a little bit more “normal”? Well, this sure brought a lot of attention… I wondering if it smelled…

5. You fancy huh?

No you ain’t! I tell you, when I heard this song my ears began to bleed: (WARNING! MAY CAUSE BLEEDING!!)

The VMAs this year sucked so much that I don’t even care for any grammatical error that I may have on this sip. You don’t like my grammar? Get over it.

If you are a pathetic loser in life like me, where you have no friends, fun or social life — wait that’s something for another day… Today’s post will cover just a single part from the Emmys 2010.

Frankly, I don’t care much for the Emmys, however, I figured why not ask my readers to share their thoughts on the event and possibly post their thoughts on those who won? Whether your favorite TV Show or TV Movie won, the truth is that you wanted to find out if Glee won their 19 nominations or if the LOST cast would at least  make an appearance somewhere.

Well, I guess the LOST fans were happy. I’m talking about, the opening skit with Jimmy Fallon, Tina Fey, Joel Mchale, the Glee Cast, and Kate Gosselin… Wait what? Kate Gosselin?! Trust me, if didn’t saw the Emmys, then I think it was for the best. Although, what kind of a blogger would I be if I don’t post the video right here…

To be honest, the skit was actually pretty cool. It showed how Tina Fey doesn’t know how to sing, but also debuts Kate’s acting gig! (cuz that woman can’t get any more attention). You know you want to….

“Great things come in small packages” Who ever made that quote sure had a good point. On America’s Got Talent on tuesday night, an angel had stepped onto the stage to sing. This was no ordianry 18 or 20year old singing on stage, it was a 10 year old little girl, Jakckie Evancho, singing Opera. Seeing this amazed me, and left me in shock.

This little girl so small and so young, with such a strong and angelic voice, left everybody in amazement. Of course she got the judges approval, and the crowds as well, but this is not the first time she has stepped on a stage to sing. There is also footages of Jackie singing songs ever since she was 9years old, and all of those videos have been posted on Youtube. She has sang songs from the Phantom of the Opera to Silent night and so on. For sure she now must be recognized by a lot of record companies.

Do you think you’ll see her doing Opera, or do you see her as a regular artist out there? I vote for Opera, what do you think?

Here it is another blast from the past. Who remembers the movie “Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century”? I remember those good times.

Well today I was just doing my homework and all of a sudden BOOM! that song popped into my head. This song was sung by the the famous rock star in the Zenon movie called Protozoa. I’m pretty sure anyone who’s at least 22 or older remembers this song, it’s called ‘Zoom Zoom Zoom”…make my heart go boom boom my supernova girl! I used to love this song so much I actually drove my sister ballistic one time. Aah good old days.

Also, something that caught my eye is that some of the outfits that were in that movie are very highly popular today mostly seen by Lady Gaga. Which comes to the question did Lady Gaga watch the Zenon movie too much? Or is she just bring back the old look?

I sat down and watched The Bachelorette last night with my mother. What I saw on the screen irritated me to the point I started thinking.

Is what the finding love in the world is today?  A woman setup with a group of twenty-five guys to fight over her love. At the same time, she seeks for her “Prince Charming”. Ali, The Bachelorette of ABC’s hit reality show, is/was dating anywhere from twenty to three guys at the same time.  It is a television show where a person seeks true love, but it’s all about emotional and mental games rather than finding love.  But, there is no way to truly connect or love someone without putting yourself out there with no safety net, giving everything to them, and holding back nothing. How can one ask for someone to give you their loyalty all the while dating others or seeking for better opportunities?

Ali discovered on one episode that one of the guys had a girlfriend at home. As a he walked away from her; she chased him down. She yelled and screamed at him about wasting her time. The sad point of the whole thing was she had ten other guys who in their ignorant state stood up to her. The bottom line is she has no loyalty to any of the guys, yet she demands it from them.

At one point in the show Ali told one of these fools fighting for her love, “It’s okay to fall in love and take a risk.” At this point I found myself screaming at my TV because it was an absurd statement for someone who was  risking virtually nothing. This woman had four other guys waiting at home for her. The risk is not the same no matter how she would like believe it to be. At the end of the week she would be sending one of her victim home.

This idea goes deeper than just the TV. It is the same in everywhere desperate people seeking companionship. Let’s just cast a net and see what we catch comes to mind. The truth is you are not doing any favors for yourself, but showing your true selfishness. If this is what you are doing be not surprised when you find candidates doing the same.
